One of the fastest growing building firms in the country has unveiled plans to build a new £2m headquarters near Wigan.
Award-winning Construction Partnership UK (CPUK) will construct its new offices at Métier Property Holdings' White Moss Business Park in Skelmersdale. It plans to move there by the end of the year.

The site of the 7,000sq ft two-storey development is across the road from the firm's existing base in the West Lancashire Investment Centre.

The move is part of the first stage of a new £12.5m high quality business park being built by CPUK for Cheshire-based commercial property expert Métier on the prime site, just off junction 4 of the M58.

Steve Burke, managing director of CPUK, which has a 66-strong workforce, said: "We're delighted to be building our new headquarters in West Lancashire.

"The announcement underlines our strong commitment to the area and to the local economy. We started our operations here and as we expand we want to stay here. This is a great location, we have substantial contracts across the North West and White Moss Business Park is ideally situated for us.

"The need for this new home for CPUK is the result of our continued growth and expansion in the region and we are all looking forward to making the short move once we have finished construction."

Andrew Hine, of Métier, said: "With the pre-sale of six out of a total of nine units already secured on phase one we are hopeful of achieving pre-sales of the remaining three units prior to completion in July.

"Already we have pre-sold units to David Cain Projects, CPUK and graphic designers Loaf creative, and we have a good level of interest in the remaining buildings.

"On the success of the first phase, we are now turning our attention to the second phase where we have consent for a further 40,000sq ft of B1 office accommodation which is likely to be a mixture of similar sized units."
