It has been there almost since the beginning, and next week Bon Marche celebrates its 17th years in residence at Wigan's Galleries.
Staff will be injecting a bit of fun and fundraising into the working day and are inviting both new and old customers to come and celebrate with them from Tuesday to Thursday September 16 to 18.
As well as Buck's Fizz and nibbles, shoppers will also
be asking customers to help us in raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief through a "name the teddy" competition.
Last year the store raise £502. One lucky shopper each day over the three day event will have the chance of winning a £50 voucher.

Training rights lost
Seven in 10 people working in the North West would like to see a new legal right to request paid time off for training and almost as many say they would be likely to use it, according to a new survey.
The TUC/unionlearn polling follows the Government's announcement in June that it would introduce a new right for employees to ask for training at work.
However, the TUC is concerned that just 9% of employees without formal qualifications participated in job-related training in the last three months, compared to 38% of graduates.

'Firms not being hit'
Some 45% of Northern small to medium sized enterprises said they had experienced no visible indicators of economic slow down compared to other parts of the country where just 28% of Southern SMEs and 36% of companies in the Midlands could say the same.

Manufacture area fears
A survey shows that a stagnant UK economy and a sharply deteriorating Eurozone are now impacting manufacturing as companies' price expectations continue to rise.
