Food Safety hopes for final joy

Wigan-based Advanced Food Safety has reach the final of the Food North West Awards 2008.
Recognised for its massive growth in worldwide sales, the company hopes to pick up the UKTI Award for International Trade award for the second time, having first won it in 2006.

The Shevington company develops and publishes food safety courses, HACCP and allergen distance learning courses and publications and acts as a consultant to the food industry, to help companies achieve the
British Retail Consortium Global Food Standard so that they can supply the major food retailers.

They also provide traditional food safety training as a Royal Institute of Public Health training Centre.

Advanced Food Safety works on a world-wide basis with clients across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, USA and South America, with partners in Cyprus, Latvia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Maldives, Spain and Kazakhstan!

Russell Parry, director of Advanced Food Safety, said: "As a small company we believe we have excelled in developing a company that successfully competes on a worldwide basis."
