The North West region of Wigan-based Allenbuild strengthened its position as a leading health sector constructor.
It has done so with the award of a £7.4m contract to design and build the new Lytham Primary Care Centre for leading healthcare provider Primary Asset, part of the MedicX Group.

Constructed on the site of the former Lytham Hospital, the new three-storey building is due for completion in Spring 2009.

Ashley Heath, a director of Primary Asset, said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Allenbuild to deliver a primary care centre that embraces the NHS Plan in bringing more services closer to patients in Lytham."
