A Wigan chemist's has undergone a makeover and name change.
Boots have teamed up with the existing Alliance Pharmacy in Wigan Road, Bryn, for the refurb and rebrand.

And the senior GP from the neighbouring surgery, Dr Mike Ashworth, along with local MP Ian McCartney, joined in the celebrations by cutting the ribbon to mark the official opening of the store.

Boots and Alliance Pharmacy have been combined in the UK to create one business, Boots UK.

Jennifer Allcock, store manager, said: "Bryn will see the very best pharmacy services and products in their Boots store. We've always been proud to provide a professional pharmacy and dispensing service, and now we're delighted to be able to offer our customers even better healthcare services."
