Meeting on house plans
RESIDENTS concerned abo-ut proposals to build hundreds of new homes in Lowton and Golborne are being invited to a community consultation meeting next week.
The Lowton East Neighbourhood Development Forum, who are objecting to proposals to build houses on safeguarded land along the East Lancs Road corridor, will hold the meeting in the upstairs room at Lowton Labour Club, on Newton Road, at 7.30pm on Monday, February 6.
The forum, who will be meeting the government inspector currently carrying out a review of Wigan Council’s Core Strategy the day after the consultation, want to hear residents’ views on the proposed building works.
