Education election event is scrapped
Budding politicians in the race for local parliamentary seats were due to meet at St Patrick’s Parish Club in Scholes for a question-and-answer session along the lines of popular politics TV show Question Time.
However, the event scheduled for tonight (Thursday) has now been scrapped.

Headteachers from the borough were also due to join candidates on the panel.
NUT divisional secretary Max Atkins said the event would not be re-arranged.
Local campaigning for the election resumed on Thursday following the Manchester Arena terrorist attack, with the national parties getting back on the trail for votes on Friday.
