Marsh Green teenager Paddy Brown got his season off to a flying start.
Last year's National Golden Gloves semi-finalist and Wigan Amateur Boxing Club junior of the year enjoyed an impressive win over highly-rated Richie Handley from Kirkdale ABC in Liverpool last Friday night.
Handley had only lost one of his nine contests but Brown put him under pressure from the first bell despite giving away at least five inches in height.

Still only 15-years-old, Brown is starting to mature into a strong boxer.
The only disappointment for Brown last season was a controversial exit from the National Championships at the semi-final stage and he is hoping that this year he can go one stage further as he enters the Junior ABA's for the first time.
Those Championships don't start until May next year so the club are hoping to get Brown as many contests as possible between now and then.
