A Wigan water polo ace is hoping to help Great Britain to European Championships glory this week.
Richard Lawlor, 19, has flown out to Istanbul, Turkey, for the event and his parents jetted out on the weekend to cheer him on.

Britain are among the favourites to win the 16-team competition – they face Italy, Germany and Croatia in their group. Lawlor helped Britain to silver at the High Tatras tournament in Slovakia a week ago by
beating Holland for the first time in their history.

The former Aspull RU ace started playing water polo aged 11 and first represented GB in Malta three years ago.
