Animal welfare organisations have criticised a London-based rent-a-dog service that allows people to own part-time pets.
Flexpetz allows dog lovers unable to own their own dog to borrow a pet once a week for a month, costing £279.

The Dogs Trust, Blue Cross UK, and the RSPCA have voiced their concerns about the service, pointing out that dogs need consistent companionship.
