Wigan Athletic assistant manager Eric Black has warned Latics not to take their foot off the gas when they host Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Black was delighted with the performance which saw off Manchester City on Sunday, and wants the same high standards reached against Boro.

Victory at the weekend could propel Latics as high as sixth place in the Premier League table going into the fortnight's international break.

Black said: "We have to maintain the level of performance we produced last week, that's the challenge.
"We haven't really dropped too far below those standards very often, perhaps in the first-half at Ipswich we did.

"The commitment, desire to run about the pitch, to do the right things and listen to instructions, has been fantastic.
"If our performance level drops 10 or 15% then we're not the team we think we are, and we won't give teams the problems we did against
Manchester City. That was a top performance.

"You can look through the team and every single one of them contributed in their own way to the outcome.

"At the moment we're focusing on getting as many points on the board as we can and to keep ourselves secure.
"It's nice and flattering that people consider that we're good enough to do that, but we've got to put in the work."

Latics will be aiming for successive home league wins for the first time since beating Bolton and Birmingham back-to-back on March 16 and April 5.

Their only fitness concern is midfielder Lee Cattermole who was substituted against City after a tight hamstring.

The £3.5m summer signing from Boro had a scan yesterday which should give the coaching staff a clearer idea of his availability for Saturday.
Michael Brown is standing by for his first league start of the campaign if Cattermole fails to recover in time.

Boro's visit to the JJB will see Egyptian strikers Amr Zaki and Ahmed Mido in opposition for the first time.

The pair are international colleagues and good friends off the pitch, both starting the season well with Zaki netting six goals and Mido four.
