Titus Bramble has revealed his anguish at been stuck on the sidelines – but never gave up hope of a return to the side.
The centre-back, who was axed following some high-profile mistakes, got a shock recall at Villa Park after 12 games out.

Bramble said: "No one wants to be on the bench and not involved.
"Every player wants to play. I've just had to wait for my chance. When
I was left out Boycie came in and did very well.

"The gaffer told me I'd be playing last Tuesday so I had a week to prepare myself mentally and make sure I was in great condition.
"I did my job. We kept a clean sheet and won the game.

"Now we can start planning for next season.
Next up for Bramble is 40-goal Cristiano Ronaldo.

"All the pressure will be on them to come here to try and win the title," he said. "We'll try and win the game – we're all professionals."
