Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce admitted Latics' goalless draw at Tottenham yesterday should really have been a victory.
The Wigan boss felt rock-bottom Spurs 'were there for the taking', but a blunt cutting edge up front was the reason for his side failing to capitalise at White Hart Lane.
Bruce said: "I do feel we had a really fantastic chance to win, so we're a bit disappointed we took the wrong option in the final third too many times and didn't make the killer pass.
"Tottenham were there for the taking, and once we rode a spell in the second half when their fans got right behind them, there was only going to be one winner.

"That said, no one ever seems to give us a chance of getting anything when we go to places like Spurs, so I'm not going to turn my nose up at a draw.
"I thought Emmerson Boyce and Titus Bramble were terrific in the centre of defence, and Mario Melchiot was good too at right-back.
"And when Chris Kirkland did have something to do, his handling was impeccable.
"I don't remember Spurs getting past us too many times.
"There was a penalty shout which was something and nothing, so I was pleased with that aspect of our play."
Bruce was down to the bare bones yesterday, having to put two goalkeepers – Mike Pollitt and Richard Kingson – on the bench to have a full complement of seven substitutes.
