Roberto Martinez has likened Maynor Figueroa to French legend Zinedine Zidane.
Figueroa's wonder-goal from inside his own half has been the talk of football since the ball hit the back of the net at the Britannia Stadium.
And the Wigan boss, who admits to watching 'millions of games' around the world, admits there is only one goal he has ever seen that can even get close to Figueroa's.
"We all know Maynor is capable, and he has a fantastic technique," Martinez told the Observer.
"But to have the genius moment of making the decision of trying to score from that far out ... you don't see that too often. In fact, I have only ever seen a couple of goals like that in my life.

"One happened in a game between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, when another left-back scored from halfway – although that was a few yards closer, and the technique wasn't as good.
"Technique-wise, the goal by Zinedine Zidane for Real Madrid against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 European Cup final at Hampden Park was the only one to compare with Maynor's goal.
"It was exactly the same in the sense that he had no right to even think about scoring from there. You just think 'How do you do that?'
"And Maynor's goal was a special, special moment as well."
Martinez feels Figueroa's goal demands extra respect given it was from a set piece and not just a hopeful punt in open play.
"From open play, you can always try to score from that distance, because it also gives the team a breather," the Spaniard explained.
"But from a set-play, you have to be very confident and very sure in your ability, because you can really look a fool in front of many, many people – especially when the game is on live television.
"It was such a good example for young footballers who are learning to play. That can only encourage many youngsters to enjoy their football.
"I watch millions of games and key moments like that are so rare.
"It was clear footballing arrogance, and I would pay good money just to watch incidents like that."
