Paul Scharner caused a stir at White Hart Lane when he came out sporting his latest hairstyle – a half black-half white offering.
The Austrian grabbed Wigan's only goal of a sorry afternoon.
However, less than a week after Thierry Henry hit the headlines for his role in Ireland's elimination from the World Cup, Scharner was accused by Harry Redknapp of using his hand to control before smashing home.
"It was handball," the Spurs boss fumed. "It was as blatant as Thierry Henry's handball – and I haven't even seen a replay.
"If he could have controlled it with his body, he would have. I'm surprised the referee didn't spot it. I can't believe he missed it."
Redknapp, meanwhile, gave Roberto Martinez a glowing endorsement. He said: "Wigan have a terrific young manager – he's excellent.
"I liked him when he was at Swansea, where he did a great job and got them playing fantastic football. He's gone to Wigan, and I'm sure he's going to be a great success there as well."
