Heskey: England snub is a blessing

Wigan Athletic hitman Emile Heskey believes it's a blessing in disguise that he's been overlooked by Fabio Capello for tonight's friendly in France.
The Latics striker made Capello's first England squad in February, even though he pulled out through injury. But he didn't name him in the squad for the clash in Paris.
Heskey, currently playing with pain-killing injections in his foot, told the Wigan Observer: "Fitness-wise it's probably better that I stay here at the club and prepare for our game at Portsmouth.
"I need some more training and to get some fitness work done. It's a massive period for us.
"I was disappointed not to get the call, but I think the manager is looking at a lot of different options. As long as I'm still in his thoughts, that's the main thing."
Heskey, 30, has warned his team-mates to clean up their act if they are to stay away from danger. They hadn't conceded three goals in the league since they faced Blackburn at the JJB in December.
"We've got to be wary of not conceding too many goals," he said.
"We'll always score one or two goals, but we've got to stop making these mistakes that are costing us."
Strike partner Marlon King netted his first goal for the club at Ewood Park and Heskey added: "His work rate has been unbelievable. It'll give him some confidence."
