McCulloch wants to get Rangers dancing

Lee McCulloch could be Rangers' lucky mascot in the UEFA Cup final tonight.
The former Latics star boasts a good record at the City of Manchester Stadium, venue for the clash with Zenit St Petersburg.
Twice he played there with Wigan, twice they beat Manchester City, with the Scotland international netting the winner on the first visit in March 2006.
Tonight, McCulloch is likely to be among the substitutes as Rangers play in their first European final for 36 years.
The attacking midfielder won't be disappointed at only making the bench even though he's started 30 games for Gers this season.
Just a month ago it looked like his campaign had come to a premature end when diagnosed with a broken foot after a heated Old Firm clash.
But the damage was later revealed to be only bruising to the bone, and he's worked his way back to fitness ahead of the final which falls on his 30th birthday.
McCulloch – known as 'Jig' to his former Latics team-mates – told the Evening Post: "Three-and-a-half weeks ago I got a whack when we lost to Celtic.
"I was told at the time it was broken and that was it for the season.
"But they sent me for a scan a couple of days later and thankfully that showed there wasn't a break, it was just a bruised bone.
"I was delighted with that news and now I've got a chance of playing in the UEFA Cup final.
"To say I'm looking forward to the occasion is an understatement – it's this sort of game I left Wigan to come to Rangers for.
"You can't imagine how big an occasion this is for the club. When we left Glasgow on Monday, there was a six-mile traffic jam.
"It was caused by the amount of coaches and cars heading for Manchester... every Rangers fan just wants to be there.
"If I was to come away with a winners' medal it would be the biggest moment of my career – not many players can say they've played in the final.
"In the past, the City of Manchester Stadium has been a lucky ground for me.
"The first time I played there with Wigan, we won 1-0 and I headed the winner from a corner.
"Last season we also won 1-0 so I seem to like the place.
"We've been staying at Mottram Hall for the last couple of days and I've been there a few times with Wigan too – I think we did before the games against City.
"It will be tough tonight, Zenit St Petersburg have some top-class players and they beat Bayern Munich 4-0."
Whatever the result, there will be little time for the Rangers squad to celebrate or commiserate afterwards. A fixture backlog – caused by chasing trophies on four fronts – has left them facing a busy run-in to the end of the season.
"It's absolutely mental," said McCulloch, who made 241 appearances for Latics in a six-year stay at the JJB Stadium.
"We play again on Saturday lunchtime, then Monday, again next Thursday and two days later it's the Scottish Cup final against Queen of the South.
"The SPL didn't really help us, which is a wee bit embarrassing, but we just have to get on with the job."
McCulloch was delighted to see Latics retain their Premier League status having kept in contact with many of the squad.
He said: "They've done brilliantly to stay up.
"Once the season finishes I think some of the boys are planning on coming up here for a night out and it'll be great to see them."
