Paul Scharner says he is in no rush to sign a new deal with Wigan Athletic.
Manager Steve Bruce is hoping to tie the defender down on fresh terms as he enters the final year of his current contract.
But Scharner said: "I can say there's nothing new.
"We're still in touch and speak about it. I have time."

Scharner had indicated in the summer that "all hell would break loose" if he left on a free transfer in 12 months time.
Bruce, though, is confident it won't come to that.

He switched Scharner from midfield to defence last season and the move proved a master-stroke, with the Austrian finishing the campaign as Latics' Player of the Season.
