Paul Scharner is relishing Wigan's bumper fourth round FA Cup clash at home to Chelsea – and reckons Steve Bruce's side can go all the way to Wembley.
Latics meet the current holders at the end of the month – and, with the BBC announcing the game will be one of their feature ties on January 26 at 5.15pm, it's the first time they will ever have appeared live on terrestrial television.

In an exclusive interview with the Observer, Scharner said: "We need to win four more games to get to the Cup Final. When you play in the cup anything is possible and we have to believe it."

In other Latics news, David Cotterill isn't sure whether his goalscoring display in the FA Cup will boost his chances of a regular place in the Latics squad.
The 20-year-old winger netted a stunning 25-yard strike in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Sunderland which landed Wigan a fourth-round home tie against holders Chelsea.
But he is still facing tough competition for the right-wing slot, with Antonio Valencia likely to start there in Saturday's Premier League clash at Derby.

Wales international Cotterill got his chance at the Stadium of Light as an early substitute after Ryan Taylor sprained his ankle.
It was his first appearance since Steve Bruce became manager, and he scored the third goal.
Cotterill said: "Maybe I can stake a claim. I still have Antonio Valenica and Ryan Taylor in front of me and they have been doing extremely well.

"Any player is frustrated when they don't play, but hopefully I do have a future here.
"I'm enjoying working with the gaffer.
"He has brought fresh ideas in and all the lads enjoy the training.
"He wants us to work hard and definitely gets the best out of the players as results have started to show.
"It was nice to get my first run out for a while at Sunderland, and nice to score a goal too which finished the game off.
"Hopefully I did enough to show the manager I'm still about."

Latics boss Bruce has admitted to fielding a number of enquiries about Cotterill since the transfer window is open.
But he maintains the former Bristol City player is in his thoughts as he seeks to shape a squad to fight relegation.
Earlier in the season, Cotterill did look to be on the verge of a loan move to Sheffield United in order to get some first-team football.
The move was halted, though, when Chris Hutchings was sacked.

On the transfer front, Latics are again being linked with Sweden international Erik Edman to solve the left-back shortage.
The former Tottenham defender is currently with French side Rennes, but with his contract up this summer, he is now entitled to hold talks with other clubs.

Latics tried to sign him in August after selling Leighton Baines to Everton and are now reported to be interested again.
Rennes, from whom Latics signed Mario Melchiot, could be tempted to sell in January as he would be free to leave for nothing on a Bosman in six months.
Bruce has identified left-back as a problem position, even though he says Kevin Kilbane has filled the role well on a stand-in basis.

He's looking to sign trialist Maynor Figueroa from Honduran club Olimpia on loan for the rest of the season, but would also like a left-back with experience of the Premier League – and Edman made 31 appearances for Spurs in the 2004/05 campaign.
Latics were set to tie up the loose ends of Figueroa's Olimpia team-mate Wilson Palacios' transfer today.

Midfielder Palacios, nicknamed 'the Magician' in Honduras, has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract at the JJB Stadium having been on loan at Birmingham for the past six months.
His signing is subject to international clearance and a work permit being granted.

good player this lad - just needs a bit more first-team experience. I'd always have him on the bench though if he didn't start
