Honduran ace Hendry Thomas is on the verge of signing for Wigan Athletic.
The 23-year-old midfielder is set to join the club from Olimpia on a permanent deal and follow international colleagues Wilson Palacios and left-back Maynor Figueroa to the JJB Stadium.

Latics boss Steve Bruce told the Wigan Observer: "John Benson (general manager) is in Honduras at the moment trying to tie someone else up for us. We've got an iron in the fire.
"We're also trying to do a permanent deal for Figueroa."

Thomas has been capped 14 times by his country and has been a regular for their side since 2005.
He moved to Olimpia is 2003 in the Liga Nacional de Honduras and operates as a defensive midfielder.
Thomas had an unsuccessful trial with French club Toulouse and now wants to try his luck in the English Premier League.
