Reports in the Midlands suggest Aston Villa could return during the January transfer window with a fresh bid for Emile Heskey, or at the end of the season when he's out of contract.
Henri Camara, who almost joined Stoke in a £1m deal just before the deadline, is with Senegal preparing for Friday's World Cup qualifier in Algeria.
His move to the Potters only fell through after Latics failed to secure a season-long loan for Fraizer Campbell from Manchester United.

It's about time this January "window" was shut and boarded up for good. How can a manager settle his team and plan a campaign whilst looking over his shoulder to see who's after poaching his best players? Once a season starts, that should be it until the seasons finished.
