Ed Jones, spokesman for Wigan Athletic, said: “Our season tickets are the cheapest in the Premier League.
“In a very competitive area in the sense there are huge football clubs within a stone’s throw of our stadium, we try to make the site attractive and offer value for money.
“Our supporters are fantastic and really loyal to the club.
“They do travel across the country and spend a lot of time and money and their dedication should be praised.
“We do not like to take fans for granted and we try to create opportunities that will benefit them.”
