WIGAN’S musical stars are gearing up for a busy summer.
Boyband Lawson, which consists of former Winstanley College student Andy Brown, will join Jessie J and Tom Jones in the open-air music festival Access All Eirias at Eirias Park, in Wales, from July 25.

The foursome, which also includes Joel Peat, Ryan Fletcher and Adam Pitt, are also performing at the Party at the Proact in Chesterfield on Sunday, June 8, alongside Union J and other acts to be announced,

They have also been added to the bill for this year’s Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
They will join Neil Young and Crazy Horse, 5ive, The Vamps and McBusted and the Backstreet Boys for the 10-day event in London between July 4 and 13.

Meanwhile, Starsailor, who all met at Wigan and Leigh College, have reformed and are part of the lineup at the Isle of Wight Festival in Newport from June 12 to 15.
They perform on Friday June 12, alongside Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris and Rudimental.

Rick Astley, formerly of Newton-le-Willows, will sing at the Twin Towers @Live concert in Kuala Lumpar, alongside Christina Aguilera, Lifehouse and Craig David on March 29.
The 1980s legend, who is famous for his hit Never Gonna Give You Up, is also part of the Here and Now tour, across the UK, including Haydock Park on June 21.
He will also tour as part of Rewind North at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire, on Saturday August 30 and Sunday August 31.
And Atherton singer, Laura White, who found fame on The X Factor in 2008, is still plugging away at her music.
The 26-year-old records covers of songs and releases them on YouTube every Wednesday, known as White Wednesday, and posts them to her fans on Facebook and Twitter.
Her debut EP, What My Mother Taught Me, which was released late last year, is still available on i-Tunes.
