A SEA of blue and white will stream down the M6 on Saturday morning as Latics fans head to Wembley.

The club shop is awash with special souvenirs for Wigan Athletic’s big day out and supporters have been flocking to the store to make their purchases.

A number of one-off items have been put on sale at the Latics shops in the Grand Arcade and the DW Stadium, as well as online too.

Among the many items on sale are car stickers, flags, t-shirts and scarves – all with Wembley 2013 spread across them.

Of course, there is the chance that Latics could head to the famous ground again next month should they beat Millwall in this Saturday’s semi-final.

Manager Stuart Fairclough said: “We’ve been really busy. We’ve got special Wembley ‘que sera sera’ t-shirt and the Wembley scarves.

“I’d say the scarves are our best sellers, they’re flying out but the t-shirts are going really well too.

“People who don’t want to fork out for the replica t-shirts are buying the special Wembley shirts because they’re so much cheaper.”

Latics’ FA Cup success has also seen sales rocket with general Latics merchandise with replica shirt sales also soaring.

The cash tills have barely stopped at the shops and with the possibility of a repeat appearance, there is also other stock on hold and ready to be released.

Stuart added: “We all have our fingers crossed that they get there again, it’s great for the town.

“We have loads of other products signed off and ready to sell should they beat Millwall. If they get to the FA Cup Final, I can see it being chaos!

“I’d say almost every supporter having their shirts printed are having ‘Wembley 13’ on the back too.

“Sales for general Latics items have also shot up too, it’s been great for business to be honest and it will only get better if they beat Millwall.”
