An appeal has been launched to find a Little Mix programme for a young girl after hers was destroyed at a concert.

Lucy Gibbons, nine, is a huge fan of the girl band so was over the moon when her big sister Lauren bought her tickets to go and see them at the Manchester Arena last week.

The Aspull Church School pupil even saved all her birthday money so she could buy herself a souvenir from the gig.

But she was left devastated when a drink was spilt on the £15 programme she had chosen from the merchandise stand, leaving it in tatters.

Lauren, 23, said: “Lucy had saved £15 of her birthday money and all she wanted was a programme.

“When we got there they were exactly £15 so she got one. She’d spent all of her money but she was happy.

We asked the merchandise stand if they would swap it for a new one but they refused, so with a tearful nine-year-old we headed home

“She put it under her seat for safe keeping but the woman behind spilt her drink and the programme was destroyed.

“We asked the merchandise stand if they would swap it for a new one but they refused, so with a tearful nine-year-old we headed home and tried to dry it out but it is all ripped and it looks awful.”

To make matters worse, the programmes aren’t available for general sale, even online, so the only way for Lauren to replace the programme would be to buy tickets and go to another concert.

“I’ve looked online and you can’t buy them. The only way to get one would be to go to a concert but they have moved on from Manchester now,” she said.

“We were hoping by sharing the word on social media someone might come forward who has one they don’t want or a spare they would be willing to give to Lucy.

“She is a massive Little Mix fan. It is such a shame we can’t get her another programme.”
