CONGESTION at a busy health surgery will be a thing of the past say health chiefs.
A new £110,000 car park has been built on Woodcock Drive, Platt Bridge to help patients visiting Platt House surgery. The surgery, on nearby Rivington Avenue, had seen traffic congestion due to the existing car park being utilised by both patients and staff.
A spokesman for Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group (WBCCG) said: “The car park at Platt Bridge was a capital scheme and involved a contribution towards a staff car park to release space on the main car park at Platt Bridge which had continual capacity issues for patients. This should make it easier for patients to park at this surgery and reduce traffic congestion nearby.”
