CARLEY Stenson is certainly a night owl.
The former Billinge actress admitted that after working on stage as Princess Fiona in West End’s Shrek: The Musical, she is full of beans.
She told Closer magazine: “I can be on stage until late into the night.
“Plus, as soon as I am finished, I’m pumping with adrenalin and the last thing I want to do is sleep, so I find myself staying awake for a few hours to chill out, call my friends or watch some TV.
“So if I manage to get up around 10am the next day and enjoy some of the morning, I think I’ve done well.
“I work five nights a week. I don’t love that part of the job, but I love my job overall.
“I still have two nights off where I can catch up with friends and enjoy a night out with my boyfriend Danny Mac, who starts in Hollyoaks.
“But its’s still bizarre that when I’m on my way to work, most people are in the pub, having a drink.”
The former Hollyoaks star now has her sights on Broadway.
The Billinge actress enjoyed a trip to New York earlier this year with Danny, and she enjoyed no less than five Broadway shows.
She said: “I went in February and saw five shows, including Memphis, The Book of Mormon, Death of a Salesman and Spider-man.
“I’d like to think I might be able to work there someday; that would be lovely!”
She added that she carefully considers whether she is right for the role before taking it.
She added: “I have learned over the past 18 months that even if a play or musical comes in that you think is perfect for you, it isn’t necessarily the right thing at the right time; sometimes you have to let things go. I always thought that I would love to be in Wicked, but I wouldn’t want to touch it after seeing it done so well by Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker.”
