CORONATION Street actress Catherine Tyldesley has spoken of her love for her Wigan boyfriend, Tom Pitfield.
The 30-year-old was very coy when she talked to OK! magazine about the Standish-born personal trainer, but she did admit: “It’s early days and I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’m very happy.”
The pair have been virtually inseparable since they started dating earlier this year.
Tom accompanied Catherine at fellow Corrie actress Paula Lane’s wedding last month and he was spotted sat beside her at the British Soap awards.
They have also been seen going to the gym together where Tom works, at Hale Country Club in Cheshire.
They have only been dating for a few months but Catherine has admitted she can’t wait to settle down and have a family.
She said: “I’d love to be lucky enough to have children one day. I love children and babies and I do feel like I’m supposed to be a mum, so one day I hope I’ll be blessed.”
But she added that although she loves weddings, she is concentrating on her new house at the moment,
She said: “I love weddings. I’m one of those people who gets emotional when I watch my friends getting married and I go to bits, so I will be like that at Michelle Keegan’s (who played Tina McIntyre in the soap).
“Every girl dreams of what their wedding will be like one day but I just bought a house so interiors are consuming my thoughts at the moment.
“It’s the first place I’ve bought on my own. I feel so grown up. I’ve got a garden and everything - it’s a bit scary!
“I find myself getting so excited about homewares and soft furnishings. I can be lost in Ikea for about four hours!”
Catherine has worked hard to keep in shape, especially as she was size 22 when she was 17.
But now she is picture perfect and even gives her Corrie mates advice on set.
She said: “It seems to be that I’m one of the first ports of call for anybody who’s putting in a sly session in their dressing room or wants nutritional advice.”
But despite her gorgeous body, Catherine admits she hates her feet. She said: “My mum and dad call them trotters because my toes are like tiny little digits.”
Catherine is the Great Swim 2014 ambassador and has been busy launching the open water events at various locations.
