MORE than 100 owners turned up with their four-legged friends for a festive stroll through a popular Wigan beauty spot.

Dog owners from as far afield as Coventry, Bedford and Wakefield descended on Borsdane Woods, in Hindley, bringing along more than 120 canines including Siberian huskies, Alaskan malamutes and other breeds of sled dog.

The event raised £725 for Burnley-based group Sibes and Sled Dogs Husky Welfare, where organiser Amanda Lawrence is a volunteer.
