A slip of the hand

PAUL Daniels almost lost his fingers in a DIY accident.

The magician, who owns Paul Daniels Magic Party Shop, in Mesnes Street, Wigan, almost severed his fingers on New Year’s Day at his home in Berkshire.

He drove to hospital, where a specialist surgeon was drafted in to repair the fingers.

He is now hopeful his hand will heal soon so he can perform his magic tricks.

He said: “My head was full of pain and the possible end of magic. My check-up will tell me more.”
