JAMES Walsh is heading to sunny Australia.
The former Wigan and Leigh College student will undertake his solo acoustic tour in Oz, starting in Brisbane March 16, and finishing in Sydney on March 24.
He said: “I am very excited to be doing my first solo headline tour in Australia. I’d like to thank the Australian fans who’ve waited almost 10 years since the last Starsailor appearance for their patience and support. Can’t wait to get out there!”
He will also appear at Liverpool’s Zanzibar Club on February 11, and at Riverside, in Newcastle, on February 23.
The ex-Starsailor singer has also put an animated video of his single I Can See You Shine, which he co-wrote with Gabe Dixon Music.
Meanwhile, a track James co-wrote with X Factor winner Matt Cardle and writer Elliot James, is to be featured on Matt’s new EP.
Matt, whose debut album Letters, featuring tracks written by James, has reached platinum, said: “There’s a track that didn’t make the album called All Is Said that I wrote with James Walsh from Starsailor and Elliot James. It’s a great track and it was a shame that we couldn’t have had a bigger album because I really wanted it to go on there.”
Matt Cardle’s new EP - Amazing - will be available to download from February 19.
