WIGAN broadcaster Stuart Maconie is hosting an awards ceremony honouring the live production industry next week.
The BBC 6 Music presenter will host the 2012 TPI Awards which take place in London on tonight (Monday) with BBC 5 Live’s Danny Baker.
The evening promises to be an entertaining show honouring the hard work of companies represented in the 30 award categories in the live production industry.
Stuart is also preparing for one-man show at a theatre in Lancaster
An evening with Stuart Maconie takes place at The Dukes on Friday, May 4, at 8pm.
He will deliver a funny take on his life and career and discuss his popular travel writing, which includes
Pies and Prejudice, Cider with Roadies and his latest book - Adventures on The High Teas.
Tickets cost £12 or £10 for concessions.

He recently shared his views on Romanticism and his favourite poetry and prose at the Wordsworth Trust Arts and Books Festival in the Lake District.
