A WIGAN care home held a Hawaiian theme night for residents.
Residents at Thornley House enjoyed dressing up Hawaiian style as well as being provided with food, a selection of exotic fruits, punch and music from the island.
The idea of a series of themed nights was suggested at a residents meeting to give everybody something to look forward to.
Several residents sported hula skirts and colourful garlands. Music on the night was provided by local entertainer, Don O’Dell.
Thorley House Home Manager, Rhona Briggs, believes themed nights are great fun for residents and staff alike: “It’s great to put on these sorts of events, the residents here really look forward to it, and so do the staff. It’s brilliant seeing everyone dressing up and really making an effort. Hopefully our future themed nights are just as successful as this one”.
