KYM Marsh was at her dad’s bedside last week after he was rushed into hospital with a suspected heart attack.
Dave Marsh collapsed with chest pains at his Ashton home and family feared he had suffered another heart attack, following a severe incident some years ago.
Kym dashed to the hospital to be by his side.
After extensive tests and an overnight stay her dad was allowed home but is having to have more tests to see what caused the scare.
She tweeted to followers: “Thank you for all your lovely tweets about my dad. He is still poorly but home for now.”
Mum Pauline said: “It’s been a very worrying time. He is still having tests done to find out what’s wrong. He had a heart attack years ago. I was so worried for him it’s been awful.”
The Coronation Street actress is extremely close to her mum and dad and they have been regular visitors to her new home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, to help take care of 10-month-old Polly.
Meanwhile, Kym’s fiance, ex-Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas is currently away from home for two months while looking for work in the USA.
He flew to Los Angeles two weeks ago for the pilot season over there – where TV bosses sign up actors for new shows.
He is currently staying with former Hollyoaks pal Ricky Whittle.
And in her latest magazine column, Kym said: “Fingers crossed he’ll be feeling much better soon. No-one likes being in hospital but that doesn’t stop my dad befriending the nurses!
“He has a knack of making people fall in love with him. His positive outlook is amazing – he never lets anything get him down.”
And as loved ones are at the forefront of Kym’s mind, the 35-year-old has agreed to be part of a celebrity panel for Outstanding Family of the Year 2012 - a competition to find the country’s most outstanding families and reward them with a money can’t buy experience.
