A WIGAN couple is aiming to help women feel glam with her new business.

Emma Lucas, 27, and her partner, Andrew Porter, of Norley Hall, officially opened Wig Wam Glam in its new premises, in Ormskirk Road, Pemberton.

The shop sells hair pieces, hair extensions, fashion wigs, false eye lashes and coloured contact lenses for women.

The pair, who have a three-year-old daughter, originally set the business up in Scot Lane, in Wigan, last October, but decided to move to a busier location.

Emma said: “It was a bit quiet in Scot Lane so when I saw this shop in Pemberton available, I thought I would give it a try and I have been really busy, so I made the right decision.

“I have had a few customers with alopecia, who have requested hair pieces, but I sell more fashion wigs. And I am aiming to get wigs for older people, so there is something for everyone.”

Wigan Mayor, Coun Michael Winstanley, officially opened the shop, much to Emma’s delight.
