FORMER Wigan resident Kerry Katona has broken her silence following her emotional split with husband George Kay.
The Atomic Kitten singer, who lived in Haigh for several months on 2013, took to social media to show fans that she was battling on and not allowing it to drag her down.
Kerry wrote on Twitter: “it’s not the size of the wolf in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the wolf.”
The mum-of-five confirmed last Tuesday that her marriage to former rugby league player George was over.
She said via a spokesman: “It is with deep sadness Kerry announces the end of her marriage to George Kay. Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children.”
Newspaper reports suggested the break-up was following George’s arrest for an assault and possessing a taser.
Since then, Kerry has maintained a dignified silence on her social media accounts.
This will be Kerry’s third divorce, after she split from first husband, Westlife singer Bryan McFadden, and second hubby, taxi driver Mark Croft.
Brian, the father of two of her children, Molly and Lilly-Sue, has even waded into the argument, begging him to leave her alone.
Kerry and George wed only a few months ago and have an 18-month-old-old daughter, Dylan-Jorge, together.
Close pals say she is struggling to cope with and is suffering anxiety attacks. But she is putting on a brave face and concentrating on her children.
