KYM Marsh is set to remain in Coronation Street for the foreseeable future.
The Ashton actress, who joined the ITV soap in 2006 as Michelle Connor, has been rumoured to have signed a new long-term contract to remain in the show, with some juicy storylines.
Goss revealed a few weeks ago that her son, Ryan, played by a different actor, will return to the cobbles in the coming weeks and entice Christian believer Sophie Webster into the world of drugs.
And she admitted she loves being a part of the popular soap.
She told Soaplife: “I’ve been here six years now and my loyalties lie with the show. I love it.
“I enjoy being part of such a great cast.
“I like that it’s a tightly-run ship and it keeps me near my home, which is important.”
The 35-year-old star also admitted that she hopes Keith Duffy will soon return to the soap.
The former Boyzone singer played her character’s boyfriend Ciaran MCarthy, who left Weatherfield to work on a cruise ship.
The former Hear’Say singer said: “I loved working with Keith Duffy who played him, and I felt that Ciaran and Michelle went really well together.
“I’m hoping Keith might be back at some point.”
Meanwhile, Kym is busy preparing for an intimate wedding this summer with fiance Jamie Lomas.
Jamie, a former Hollyoaks actor, added that it would make them more of a family.
