KYM Lomas saved the day as she was drafted in to sing at a fund-raising ball this week.
The Ashton-born star stepped in to sing at the Winter Wonderland, organised by Manchester City player James Milner and his partner Amy Fletcher, after The Voice contestant Bo Bruce pulled out last minute,
The ball was to raise money for NSPCC, Leukaemia Research and Help For Heroes.
Speaking of her husband Jamie, she said: “We are both United fans, but that doesn’t matter on a night like this, it’s for a great cause.”
The Coronation Street actress, who shot to fame with former band Hear’Say, admitted she was nervous before her performance, saying: “It’s my first time singing at this venue (Event City at the Trafford Centre) and it’s huge.
“I always get nervous before singing.”
City star James said: “We can’t thank Kym enough for stepping in at short notice. It was really good of her.”
Meanwhile, ex-Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan was also at the event with boyfriend, former Latics striker and now Manchester City player Scott Sinclair.
She revealed she had just moved into a house with Scott and was looking forward to spending Christmas with him.
The former I’m A Celebrity star recently sparked outrage when she reposted a photo of herself posing with a gun on Twitter - just days after the mass shooting at a school in Connecticut, America, where 27 people were killed.
Helen apologised on Daybreak, explaining the photo was taken in October and it was used to illustrate her hangover.
