FORMER Hollyoaks actress Leah Hackett has teamed up with her fellow co-star to form a make-up business.
The Tyldesley-born star, who played Tina McQueen for two years in the channel four soap, is working with Sinead Moynihan, in their newly-set up company Eyebrow Angels, based in Manchester.
Following the surge in popularity of bushy brows thanks to London Fashion Week model Cara Delevigne, the pair felt it was the right time to bring eyebrows back into shape with the HD brows masterclasses.
They juggle the work in between acting jobs after being introduced to the art by HD Brows founder Nilam Patel, who looked after the girls’ eyebrows when they were at Hollyoaks.
Leah said: “We thought it was something good for us to do in between acting jobs.
“It keeps us entertained and out of trouble.
“It’s all about tailoring the look to the shape of your face.
“Bushy eyebrows aren’t for everyone, it’s very much a catwalk look.
“We can look at a person’s face shape and listen to what they want.”
Sinead, of Salford, joined Hollyoaks in 2007, playing Beth Clement between until her character was killed off in 2008.
Despite Leah and Sinead never sharing a scene, they became great friends on set.
And Leah is not the only Wigan lass to set up her own beauty business as fellow Hollyoaks star, Sarah Jayne Dunn, of Leigh, has been successfully running Make-up By Sarah Jayne for the last few months.
