A brave new world for some creative pupils
Children at a Wigan school have been creating a world of their own.
Pupils at Milbrook Primary School in Shevington made their own papier mache 3D planets and galaxies and created machines to travel to new worlds as part of a creative workshop.
The project was funded by Creative Partnerships, supported by the Arts Council of England, who awarded the school the grant to investigate their creative learning.
Karen Tomlinson, Creative Partnerships co-ordinator, said: "Milbrook Primary School is always looking to improve the standard of the curriculum for its young people.
"The grant has allowed the school to employ local artist and sculptor Mark Hennell to work alongside pupils."
