Rainbows add colour to Hospice
Rainbows have helped brighten up a local hospice.
Members of the 31st Leigh (Lowton St Mary's Church) Rainbows planted flowers in pots to brighten up Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
Leaders 'Rose' (Chris Kirkman) and 'Snowdrop' (Jill Taylor), brought two of the pack along to present their handiwork.
She said: "The Brownie movement is celebrating its centenary this year and have introduced a 'Changing the World' project.
"We chose the hospice to benefit because it is a local charity that looks after poorly people, and we thought these flowers would help to cheer them up."
Hospice community fund-raiser Maxine Armstrong said: "What a lovely idea, they will be a colourful reminder throughout the summer of the Rainbows and their kind efforts. They are our pot of gold."
