EIGHTIES singing legend Limahl has been back in his hometown Wigan for the first time since leaving the Australian jungle.

The Pemberton-born star, who recently starred in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, enjoyed a fleeting visit to his home town for a family reunion ahead of Christmas.

Travelling with sister Caroline Gillespi, he was met at Wigan North Western train station by brother Paul Hamill, who lives in Worsley Mesnes, and the trio had a meal at Amelie’s, in Coppull, with other brother Tony, of Standish, and mum, Cynthia, who now resides in Up Holland.

Limahl, whose real name is Christopher Hamill, said: “I only stayed one night but I wanted to come home to see my family for Christmas.

“We had a family dinner with all the siblings – it does not happen very often, but that is what Christmas is all about.
