A GLAMOROUS television star has teamed up with a Wigan watering hole to launch a new national competition.
Former Liberty X star, Michelle Heaton, is searching the borough to find the UK’s most inspiring children.
Robin Park’s Red Robin pub has unveiled the ‘Little Heroes’ campaign with the 33-year-old to search for little people who deserve big praise, as well as a £1,000 prize.
David Moore, one of the general managers of the Red Robin said: “We’re thrilled to have Michelle on board to help with our hunt for heroic children. As a mum she knows just what amazing things kids can do to humble us every day, and she’s no stranger to overcoming adversity herself.”
As part of the campaign, mums, dads, grandparents and child-minders are encouraged to nominate children who’ve done something extraordinary, from displaying remarkable courage to going above and beyond to raise money for charity.
Finalists from 10 regions around the UK will go head to head in a Facebook vote where Wacky Warehouse fans will choose their favourite Little Hero.
Michelle will have the deciding vote on the overall winner who will receive a Wacky Gold Card
She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be the ambassador of the Little Heroes competition.
“So many children are faced with tough situations.”
