A WIGAN music event arranged by a local teenager raised more than £400.
Simfest organised by Danny Simm to raise money for JDRF - a charity which supports those with diabetes was held at Fuzzbox Studios.
With local bands like Levelled, Skive and Junction23 performing, the day was a huge success raising £400.95.
Danny Simm tells Music Scene about the day.
He said: “We had a great day, Levelled opened the show spectacularly, Skive got everyone in the mood with a great set and Junction23 calmed the day down a little but nevertheless, they rocked.
“During the interval, we sadly said goodbye to Mad Dog Maiden’s hair to raise money, and we raffled off a guitar, photoshoot and vouchers.
“Loor a los heroes went down a storm to the younger crowd, I have many people asking for Flynn’s number now.
“Our Sound engineer then got up on stage with Smitten Kitten who blew everyone away with a mind blowing set. “The relays then arrived to close a fantastic night, and they did it in style.”
“Thank you so much to everyone who played, everyone who donated a prize and all those who donated money,
“We will be back soon.”
