KYM Marsh has confessed she is nervous about singing in the Coronation Street musical Street Of Dreams.
The Ashton star will be playing iconic legend Elsie Tanner and revealed that although she used to be a singer in Popstars band Hear’Say, she hasn’t sung in front of a big audience in a while.
She said: “I still do a little bit of singing here and there but this is kind of completely different and to be going and being a part of such a huge musical production is quite scary.
“Obviously I’m going to be putting in the hours and rehearsing and everything. But I’m looking forward to it.”
Kym will be sharing the role with Jodie Prenger and she joked: “I’m playing the 1960s Elsie Tanner even though Jodie’s younger than me - but I’m not complaining about that! We’re both very excited about it.”
The show will be performed in Manchester on May 9 and 10.
Meanwhile, Kym enjoyed a family holiday in Disneyland, Paris, with fiance Jamie Lomas, their one-year-old daughter Polly, Jamie’s son Billy, six, and Kym’s daughter, Emily, 14.
Jamie said: “We thought it was the right time to bring Polly now and come as a family. “Baby Polly really enjoyed it – it’s so special even though she is so little and she enjoyed the fireworks!”
