SHOPPERS faced the big cycle challenge as they pedalled to make healthy drinks on the smoothy bike.

The fun exercise was part of WLCT Active Living and Galleries Shopping Centre’s healthy activities week.

The event had more than 50 visitors throughout the five days.

It also ran an NHS drop in clinic, run by Health First CIC, which was available to customers aged at 40 and over, and received a high amount of inquiries. Customers biked their way to make delicious smoothies, with a smoothie bike and showed their competitive side on the Wii Fit, followed with BMI checks.

The Galleries centre manager, Victoria Nichol, said: “Our Healthy Living event went well and I am pleased that all customers involved enjoyed themselves. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the WLCT for all their hard work and efforts over the last five days.”
