A MUSICAL countdown like no other began this week as the Wigan Evening Post challenges you to Sing A Song For Christmas.
By December 24 our website, wigantoday.net, aims to deliver a digital advent calendar of song, with new musical treats going online every day.
From choirs to buskers, brass bands to panto stars, indie to folk and beyond, singers and musicians of all ages and styles are taking part - but that is only half the story.
We want YOU to get involved too.
Film yourself warbling solo, with friends, family, workmates, strumming your guitar, tootling your flute or banging your drum and send it to us and help create a unique musical project for a great online Christmas project.
We need great festive sounds of all kinds - both carols and classic Christmas pop hits old or new, from Slade to Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole to Wizzard - and videos no more than two minutes in length (but less is fine).
Don’t worry if you don’t finish the song!
Don’t worry too much about visual quality (but do your best) but please do not sing along to copyrighted recordings or we will not be able to use the clip.
The music starts on wigantoday.net today, December 1, and continues right up to December 24.
Send your clips now (mov, mp4 or avi format) to firstname.lastname@example.org
