Vernon Kay was dealt another blow this week as his new primetime show Drive has hit the skids.
The celebrity driving show, which airs on Tuesday nights at 9pm, was panned by critics and only got 1.97m viewers for its launch. Drive pits celebrities against each other in racing challenges, including Louis Walsh, Professor Green and Johnny Vegas. But it has been reported that viewers suggested that they wouldn’t be watching after it was discovered Vernon had been texting model Rhian Sugden again.
But despite the rumours circulating that the pair were attempting to rekindle their romance, Vernon insisted it was innocent and wife Tess Daly has vowed to stand by him. The couple put on a united front at a family event last weekend in Bolton.
Rhian has also hit out at trolls who told her to kill herself after the scandal. She shared a post on her Instagram page, with several bullet points, in an effort to clear up any rumours.
She said: “I have a fiancé called Oliver and we ARE still together. I am NOT a home wrecker, Porn star, escort, gold digger OR Stripper! I get paid to model and have done for 10 years.
“Keyboard warriors.. I have no intentions of killing myself! I have a life to live! Top tip… try and live yours too! PS – Don’t believe EVERYTHING you read!”
It has also been reported that Katie Price is making an effort to support Tess Daly and help save her marriage. The women move in the same circles and have made friends at parties.
