A RUGBY-mad Wiganer has scooped up a special prize ahead of the RL World Cup quarter-final.
Chris Kuzio has won four tickets to watch the Rugby League World Cup quarter-final at the DW Stadium after winning a competition run by the Grand Arcade in association with Wigan Council.
Chris collected her prize in a ceremony held at the shopping centre from manager John Sanson.
Mr Sanson said: “Well done to Chris in winning such a fantastic prize. It was coveted by many of our shoppers and we saw hundreds of entrants so she is very lucky.
“I’m sure the stadium will be packed with England fans on Saturday and I hope the best team wins.”
The Saturday match will see England take on France.
The competition ran between Monday, October 7, and Thursday, November 7, with the winner announced yesterday. To win the competition shoppers had to locate ten rugby balls hidden in various stores around the Arcade. The rugby balls were decorated with the flags of the various nations competing in the Rugby League World Cup 2013.
