THERE were miles of smiles at the weekend as Leigh Sports Village was transformed for a family fun day.

Leigh Centurions Rugby league club and The O2 shop in Leigh, with the support of Samsung Mobile UK and Cadence Cafe C.I.C, joined forces to stage the event before the Leigh Centurions match.

Outside the ground there was live music and dancers, circus acts, face painting and a bouncy castle.

Headlining was Leigh’s very own up and coming band The Lottery Winners and dancers from the 2013 Queen’s Award winning Nowt 2 do? project founded at the Fred Longworth High school.

All money raised went towards Hand on Heart, a Manchester based charity who, since January 2011 have placed more than 85 fully and partially funded defibrillator packages to schools across the UK.
